Sarah is PROMPT Certified and LSVT LOUD for KIDS Certified and holds a M.Ed. in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Virginia. She holds a New York State Speech and Language Pathology license and the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Sarah also maintains memberships with Apraxia Kids, Westchester Speech, Hearing & Language Association (WSHLA), American Academy of Private Practice in Speech Pathology and Audiology (AAPPSPA) and Speech Buddies.
Sarah has 15+ years experience evaluating and treating individuals with speech-language impairments from infancy through adulthood. She has worked in a variety of clinical settings including general and special education schools, home-based Early Intervention, in-patient and outpatient rehabilitation clinics, and private practice. With years of experience in multi-disciplinary settings, Sarah has collaborated with other professionals such as occupational and physical therapists, behavioral therapists, and learning specialists to best support children across developmental domains.
Sarah has been providing PROMPT therapy (Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets) as a PROMPT Certified speech-language pathologist since 2014. Sarah is passionate about applying the multidimensional and dynamic approach and technique of PROMPT in order to develop the most effective and functional treatment program for improved communication function. Sarah has also obtained her certification in LSVT LOUD for KIDS and is excited to further enhance her clinical skills in voice/speech treatment for children with motor speech disorders.
